The second edition of Mìntaka. Between dream and reality returns to the Teatro Greco. The event, for children and teenagers aged 3 to 17, is organized by the APS "Sbagliando S’impara" (“Learning by doing mistakes”). This year too, as in the previous edition, the review has as its main themes the world of fantasy and dreams, that is, the one closest to children and young people.
This link with the dream world and the imagination is demonstrated by the name of the event, because the word Mìntaka comes from the Arabic word manţaqah, which means "belt" and is the name of one of the stars in Orion's belt. Therefore not only the ability to dream and travel with the mind, but also the reference to the belt, that is, to encourage, through theatre, a network of relationships, friendships and collaborations between the young generations.
This second edition of the event opens with a show of great social importance, entitled Samia. It is a dance-theatre show based on Giuseppe Catozzella's novel Don't tell me you're afraid, and which tells the story of Samia Yusuf Omar, the young Somali sprinter who disappeared in the sea off Lampedusa while trying to reach the Italian coast.
