The Municipal Cabinet of Prints is situated within Palazzo Braschi and contains about 30,000 prints and drawings dated between the sixteenth and twentieth centuries. Of particular interest are the works by G.B. Piranesi, Bartolomeo and Achille Pinelli, Luigi Rossini and Antoine Jean-Baptiste Thomas. The collection constitutes the most complete collection of iconographic sources of the events, transformations, and history of the city. The same palace houses also the Municipal Photographic Archive that collects about 9,000 positives and 80,000 between plates and films from the nineteenth century to our days. Consultation: The Archive is mostly digital and can be consulted via multimedia stations. Upon request is possible to examine the original print.
