The major international triathlon returns to Rome. On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, the EUR district will host the SUZUKI World Triathlon Cup Rome, the fourth edition of the World Cup to be held in Rome. The heart of the event is the Laghetto dell’EUR, where some of the world’s best triathletes will compete.
Saturday’s Elite individual race will be contested over the Sprint distance: a 750-metre swim, a 20-kilometre cycle and a 5-kilometre run. The women’s race starts at 9.00 am, and the men’s at 11.00 am. The course winds through the district, with the swim taking place in the lake, the cycling leg along the wide avenues of the EUR, and the run through the park bordering the lake.
Among those entered are Olympic champion Alex Yee and world champion Vasco Vilaça. In the women’s field, Taylor Spivey, Tilda Månsson, Laura Lindemann and Kate Waugh will be competing, alongside the Italian athletes.
On Sunday morning at 8.30 am, it’s time for the Mixed Relay, featuring teams made up of two women and two men. Also scheduled for Saturday at 1 pm is the Senior and Masters Regions Cup, on the same circuit as the international race.
The programme is subject to change.
