IL PRINCIPE D’EGITTO – IL MUSICAL

A spectacular, thrilling, and magical adventure: from 29 October to 8 November 2026, the Teatro Brancaccio hosts the national premiere of the spectacular theatrical extravaganza based on the famous DreamWorks animated film, in its new Italian production.

In contemporary language, the musical tells a compelling story that weaves together themes of freedom, identity, and sacrifice: Moses, abandoned as a baby on the River Nile, grows up in the Egyptian royal family and becomes the ‘brother’ of Ramses, the future pharaoh. Discovering his true origins will profoundly change his life, creating an inner conflict between his feelings and his loyalty to his people.

Produced by Broadway Italia Srl, this impressive production features an exceptional cast of 50 performers – including Riccardo Maccaferri, Lorenzo Tognocchi, Giulia Sol, Gipeto Michelle Perera and Daniela Pobega – directed by Federico Bellone, who takes the audience on an immersive journey through ancient Egypt to the unforgettable music of Stephen Schwartz, including the moving ‘When You Believe’.

Federico Bellone’s visually stunning sets, Valerio Tiberi’s breathtaking lighting, Elena Cicorella’s costumes, and Paolo Carta’s astonishing special effects, which recreate the famous plagues of Egypt, bring the story's emotional depth and epic scale to life on stage.
