From 9 to 19 July, Rome is hosting a spectacular roller-skating event, Italy’s most important competition dedicated to inline freestyle.
For the occasion, Piazza dei Cinquecento, in front of Termini Station, turns into an open-air arena for the 2026 Italian Championships. The initiative is part of a joint project with Grandi Stazioni Retail, which brings one of the most exciting roller disciplines in urban sports to the main squares of Italian stations.
The competitions, streamed live on Skate Italia TV, feature over 600 athletes from across Italy, who challenge themselves in Speed Slalom, Classic Freestyle Slalom, Classic Freestyle Slalom Pairs, Roller Cross, Battle, High Jump, Free Jump and Slide.
The event is organised, under the auspices of Skate Italia – Federazione Sport Rotellistici, by ASD Universe Skating with the support and patronage of the Assessorato Grandi Eventi, Turismo, Sport e Moda di Roma Capitale and the Lazio Region, with Grandi Stazioni Retail as the event’s main partner.
