On 19 May 2026, the Teatro Brancaccio hosts the Roman singer-songwriter, who returns to the stage for an exciting concert as part of his theatre tour ‘1996 – 2026 L’elefante e la farfalla’, celebrating the 30th anniversary of one of the artist’s most iconic songs.
Released as part of the album of the same name in 1996 – the fifth of his career – the song was performed at the Sanremo Festival that year, captivating audiences and becoming one of his most beloved and timeless tracks.
A musician, composer and performer with an extraordinary voice and profound sensitivity, Michele Zarrillo takes the audience on an unmissable musical journey through his repertoire, presenting his greatest hits and his latest songs, accompanied by an ensemble of extraordinarily talented musicians.
Born in 1957, the singer, who has sold over four million records to date, first came to the attention of the general public in 1987 with La notte dei pensieri, with which he won the ‘nuove proposte’ category at the Sanremo Festival. The following years confirmed Zarrillo’s talent and interpretative skills: after the timeless Cinque Giorni, it was the turn of unforgettable songs, such as the splendid L’elefante e la farfalla, Ragazza d’argento, and Una rosa blu, 1982 single, re-released in 1997 and which, like many of the artist’s other songs, has become a classic of Italian music.
