The Accademia Filarmonica Romana is the protagonist of the evening at the Argentina Theater, which focuses on soprano Lidia Fridman and Liubov Gromoglasova on piano solo, with music by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Wagner and R. Strauss.
A metaphorical journey from night to sunset, then, through which the wonderful voice of Lidia Fridman leads us, with the most introspective passages of nineteenth- and twentieth-century vocal music. On one side, we have the intimate and passionate Russian romances of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninoff, filled with nocturnal melancholy and springtime scents; on the other, the German Lieder of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss, which reach intense heights of pathos and contemplation.
All unforgettable passages from Tchaikovsky's Seasons and Richard Strauss's Stimmungsbilder.
