Curated by Luca Molinari Studio and Alfonso Giancotti, the exhibition project inaugurating the Metropolitano Urban Center illustrates the urban and architectural transformations that accompanied the 2025 Jubilee and changed the face of the city, focusing on the themes of dwelling, the quality of public space and the active role of communities.
Thanks to investments by a number of important public and private players and collaboration between the Holy See, the government and local institutions, Rome has become an important laboratory for urban regeneration in Italy and Europe in recent years. The actions taken, the redesign of public spaces, small and large-scale architecture, restoration work, parks and infrastructure attest to a profound metamorphosis that is renewing the image of the Italian capital, not only in terms of its historical heritage.
Through photographs by Flavia Rossi, accompanied by drawings and critical texts, the exhibition presents ten works realized in different parts of Rome that are destined to remain a lasting legacy for the city and its inhabitants. These ten micro-stories of architecture and communities are complemented by a map showing all the projects carried out in Rome during the Jubilee year, allowing visitors to view the territory as a system that interacts with its inhabitants. An expanded selection of 26 projects is on display thanks to a loop of photographs by the photographer.
