On 18 January 2026, the unmissable La Corsa di Miguel, the competitive and non-competitive 10 Km running race organised by Club Atletico Centrale in memory of Miguel Sanchez, the disappeared Argentine marathon runner and poet, returns.
This year's edition, which is expected to be attended by over 12,000 people who will enter the Stadio Olimpico at the finish line, features the new Generazione Miguel, a race-party that winds along a 5-kilometre route, starting from Ponte Milvio and finishing at the Stadio Olimpico. Conceived in collaboration with Sport Senza Frontiere, it is open to anyone who wants to get involved, especially students.
As usual, alongside the 10 km race, the event also includes the Strantirazzismo, an amateur race dedicated to the fight against all forms of discrimination, with a simple 3 km route for running or walking, starting from Ponte della Musica and arriving, like the others races, at the Stadio Olimpico.
Also back this year is Onda donna, a project that aims to encourage more women to participate in sports competitions. The testimonial and leader at the start is two-time Olympic champion Antonella Bellutti.
There are many stories to be told and shared by the numerous participating associations, including Emergency, Amnesty International, Assist, the women's group that has been fighting for gender equality in sport for years, Sinapsi, with its Paralympic athletes running, and Sod Italia with its joelettes, special wheelchairs that symbolise inclusivity.
La Corsa di Miguel has the patronage of the Assessorato ai Grandi Eventi, Sport, Turismo e Moda di Roma Capitale, Regione Lazio, Città Metropolitana di Roma Capitale, UNAR, Sport e Salute, CONI, CIP, Fispes, Assist.
