For the second consecutive year, the Vatican Museums are offering an interactive guided tour designed for families with children, allowing them to discover the Pope's wonderful Gardens. This guided tour is specifically designed for parents who wish to spend two enjoyable hours with their children immersed in the beauty of the Vatican Gardens. This open-air experience combines learning and fun, inspired by Pope Francis's encyclical Laudato si', to raise awareness among adults and children about respect for Creation and environmental protection.
Until October 31, expert educators will accompany families on a discovery of the Vatican's "green lung." This itinerary combines nature, art, and faith, enriched with educational games and workshops that make the visit even more creative and engaging. Parents and children can also admire the botanical wonders cited in the Bible, stroll through the places beloved by the Popes, and discover many interesting facts and anecdotes. Capturing Nature is a true outdoor education experience that allows us to grow together in our awareness of the beauty of Creation.
The guided tour (available in both Italian and English) is designed for families with children aged 6 to 12 and is fully accessible to those with sensory, motor, and intellectual disabilities (reservations can be made by emailing: accessibilita.musei@scv.va). At the end of the tour, and at no additional cost, you can visit the Vatican Museums independently.
