The Museo di Roma Palazzo Braschi hosts BEYOND WORDS. Where every gesture and glance tells a deeper story, the photographic exhibition of fashion and contemporary art realised on World Autism Awareness Day, a visual and poetic journey, in which image and silence become a universal language, able to speak to the heart.
The exhibition, realised with Mia Le journal, is part of a larger project that the Assessorato ai Grandi Eventi (Department of Major Events) has shared with the Associazione Modelli si nasce Onlus, a non-profit organisation that offers training courses to prepare autistic children to enter the world of fashion.
The shots, taken with the contribution of internationally renowned photographers, enhance not only the beauty and uniqueness of the subjects portrayed, but also the social and inclusive message of the project.
The month of April is dedicated to autism awareness, with a focus on the rights of people on the autism spectrum, and represents a central moment to promote information and awareness-raising initiatives, both in Italy and around the world.
Danilo Falà's photographs tell of the invisible essence that only art can reveal of the protagonists, the young people of the ‘Modelli si Nasce’ association, the first autistic models in Italy trained to inhabit the fashion scene not as an exception, but as an authentic expression of beauty.
The direction of the film accompanying the images has been entrusted to Federico Papagna, while the graphic direction for the press is by Daria Reina and Andrea Ferolla.
The organisation is managed by Rossano Giuppa as Project Manager, the exhibition is sponsored by Roma Capitale - Assessorato ai Grandi Eventi, Sport, Turismo e Moda.
