The Festival des Cabanes is renewed again this year in the historic gardens of Villa Medici throughout the summer, becoming the ideal setting for the six original creations of international architects, artists and builders: there will be temporary installations, micro-architectures, designed proto-dwellings made of wood or made using recycled materials - assembled in a few weeks - which in most cases integrate perfectly with the greenery of the gardens and hedges.
The event, established in 2022, has become an important event, as well as an opportunity for a dialogue between architects, artists, designers and landscape architects on a series of topics such as new sustainable housing solutions of the future, or non-invasive architectural forms. The six projects were developed especially for the Festival by international groups of architects, builders and students: Ane Architecture, Manuel Bouzas, CAMPO & DIPLOMA 20 ARCHITECTURAL ASSOCIATION, Pratique Architecture, HUTTOPIA and LAMÉCOL.
