The Parrocchietta Cemetery is located along via Portuense, now under the large junction between that street and viale Isacco Newton.
Established in 1781 and rebuilt in 1855 following the cholera epidemic, it was dedicated to the burials of the most destitute members of the Magliana community. In subsequent years, it housed victims of malaria in the early 20th century and the First World War.
A characteristic of the cemetery are the brief biographical information on the gravestones of the deceased.
The numerous burials of the early 20th century gave the Parrocchietta Cemetery its current appearance, and in 1931 it was purchased by the City of Rome.
