Founded in 1959, it promotes and coordinates the studies in architecture. Its members are architects, engineers, builders, building societies, institutes of public administration. It organizes conferences, round-table conferences; it calls for national and regional prizes. In 1992 was established the Centre for Documentation of History of Architecture.
