The monumental spaces of Palazzo Esposizioni are hosting an innovative multidisciplinary event, which brings together the visual arts, sound experimentation and new technologies.

Conceived, produced and organised by Lux Entertainment, the festival takes its name from the Greek term “magheía” and evokes the concepts of transformation, wonder and expressive power: a guiding principle that manifests itself in art’s ability to bring together different audiences and generations and to transform cultural spaces into places of encounter, sharing and discovery. For three days, the building will become a dynamic organism: light, matter and sound will interact with the volumes and perspectives of the exhibition spaces, giving rise to an ever-evolving environmental composition.

The site-specific installation by Quiet Ensemble interprets the building’s architecture through a selection and reworking of some of the most significant works from its repertoire. On this occasion, the works and expressive approaches developed by the studio for the Art Takeover take on a specific form, entering into a direct relationship with the surfaces, depths and geometries of the complex. The installation (open to the public free of charge from 10.00 to 16.00) will transform throughout the day, culminating in the arrival of the sound element as evening falls, when image and music will become parts of the same composition.

The evening’s musical program is organised around three distinct themes: the Roman scene and the city’s creative buzz (Thursday 17 September, featuring Gemitaiz, Sine, Gengis, Frenetik and Whtrtrsh); contemporary electronic music and club culture (Friday 18 September, featuring a live set by Elasi, a DJ set by the Korean artist Shubostar, Alex Neri and special guests); and a tribute to the cultural legacy of the French Touch movement (Saturday 19 September, with Breakbot & Irfane among the headliners).
