The call for proposals for sustainable competitiveness promoted by Lazio Innova as part of the ERDF Lazio Regional Programme 2021-2027, funded under the Single Market Programme, expiring on 20 May 2026, was launched with the aim of strengthening the sustainable competitiveness of SMEs operating in the tourism sector.
This call for proposals offers a total budget of €6.9 million to support transnational cooperation projects aimed at promoting innovation and the green and digital transition of tourism businesses; applications are submitted exclusively through the GeCoWEB Plus platform.
The activities are implemented through consortia of organizations representing the tourism sector, which provide support to SMEs to improve business models, strengthen skills, and develop innovative solutions along the tourism value chain.
The call is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses operating in the tourism sector with headquarters in Lazio. Potential beneficiaries include hotel and non-hotel accommodation facilities such as hotels, B&Bs, agritourism establishments, campsites, guest houses, and hostels. Operators and businesses in the supply chain that provide hospitality support services are also included.
Therefore, for Italian tourism SMEs, such as accommodation facilities, operators, agencies, guides, and companies in the supply chain, this call represents a concrete opportunity to access European resources and strengthen their competitiveness in an increasingly demanding and global market.
