This year Rome is once again hosting the Village for the Earth, to celebrate World Earth Day from April 16 to 19. The event, conceived by Earth Day Italy in collaboration with the Focolare Movement of Rome, features a veritable Earth Village in the green heart of the capital, between the Pincio Terrace and the Villa Borghese Galoppatoio, to pay homage to our planet.
During the four-day event, the enchanting setting of Villa Borghese transforms into a stage for sporting, cultural, and artistic activities. At the same time, 17 multimedia squares are dedicated to each objective, offering meetings, workshops, exhibitions, and events organized by various organizations, not to mention a creative village dedicated to children.
The world of science also takes centre stage thanks to excellent collaborations and innovative initiatives with leading research institutes and organizations committed to scientific dissemination.
The event, like every year, offers a rich calendar of initiatives dedicated to protecting our planet, with a special focus on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
