On 1 March 2026, the Eurospin RomaOstia Half Marathon, the eagerly awaited half marathon now in its 51st edition, is back. Over a distance of 21.097 kilometres, it is a fast-paced route from the iconic EUR district to the coast of Rome.
The starting point is in front of the Palazzo dello Sport: after crossing the bridge over the enchanting Lake and the wide, flowing avenues of the district, national and international runners will reach Via Cristoforo Colombo, heading towards the sea and the finish line at the "Rotonda" in Ostia.
As usual, both professional and amateur athletes, accompanied by pacers, can participate in the traditional group training sessions, scheduled for 24 and 31 January and 21 February, in preparation for the sporting event.
Born on 31 March 1974 as the Italian interbank “half marathon” championship over a distance of 28 kilometres, the RomaOstia Half Marathon, included in the IAAF international calendar and the FIDAL national calendar, is currently the only competition in Italy to boast the prestigious World Athletics “Gold Label”, as well as being one of the longest-running races in the peninsula and one of the most popular among runners for its mostly flat course.
The RomaOstia Half Marathon is organised by the Gruppo Sportivo Bancari Romani – GSBR, under the aegis of World Athletics and FIDAL, with the patronage of Roma Capitale and Regione Lazio.
