The Palladium Theatre presents a play that intertwines myth and history, reimagining the figure of Federico II in a contemporary key. Written and conceived by Valerio Vicari, the play reconstructs the events of Federico II of Svevia, narrating his life and feelings through an intimate portrait of music and dialogue. In this mixed art form, where theater and music intertwine to convey the artistic content in an innovative way, actors and musicians are called upon to create a unique synergy to offer us a musical theater with a powerful visual and sonic impact, where words, gestures, and music blend together in a historical and modern narrative.
After the success of its first performance at the National Archaeological Museum of Palestrina at the Fortuna in Musica festival and at the Tor Marancia park for La Grande Musica Classica Sotto le Stelle, this opera is also being updated with new sets designed specifically for the performance at the Palladium Theatre.
The project, promoted by Rome Capital – Department of Culture, won the public call "Roma Creativa 365 – Cultura tutto l'anno" (Creative Rome 365 – Culture All Year Round) in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura.
