From 2 to 5 April 2026, the Palazzo dello Sport hosts Cirque du Soleil, which returns to Italy with a new and evocative interpretation of OVO, one of the company's most famous shows.
Created 15 years ago, the iconic production is staged in a completely reimagined version, featuring new set design, costumes, and acrobatic performances, as well as original characters and entirely new music.
On stage, over 50 artists - acrobats and musicians - bring to life a captivating narrative featuring a ladybird, a fly, and a beetle. The story revolves around the tender love between a clumsy insect and a radiant ladybird, against the backdrop of a dynamic and colourful ecosystem that portrays the daily life of an insect community.
The title, derived from the Portuguese translation of “egg”, is represented by an imposing inflatable structure that dominates the beginning, capturing the essence of the show and recalling an eternal symbol of birth and continuity in an extraordinarily rich and vibrant microcosm.
Founded by Guy Laliberté in 1984 in Canada, initially including 20 street artists, Cirque du Soleil has completely revolutionized the circus art and has expanded significantly over the years, now comprising 1300 artists from nearly 50 nationalities.
