The exhibition Hanji, sperimentazioni 2025 at the Korean Cultural Institute in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, displays the works of the Academy’s students produced with Hanji paper - from Han, “Korea” and ji, “paper” - the traditional Korean handmade paper. The latter, produced personally by the students, thus becomes a work of art that can be considered as the fruit of cultural exchange and friendship between Korea and Italy.
The exhibition, organized on the occasion of the Year of Cultural Exchange Italy and Korea 2024-2025, is therefore a unique opportunity to appreciate the artistic value and beauty of Hanji. In recent years, in fact, the two entities have been protagonists of a rich cultural exchange based on the traditional Korean Hanji paper and Korean culture.
These are the artists present in the exhibition: Augusta Cyrillo Gomes, Eugenia Iannotti, Aurora Infrasca, Silvia Lo Presti, Judy Mashnouk, Marina Mingazzini, Irene Porri, Silvia Sasso, Sara Sagradini, Francesco Straface.
