It is located in the Bravetta district that is part of the Gianicolense district. It is located just south-west of Villa Doria Pamphilj It is dedicated to the Holy Cross. The church was designed by Tullio Rossi and built in 1937, when the area was still predominantly rural. It still has undeveloped areas and is one of the most pleasant in the Roman suburbs. The back wall of the sanctuary features a huge white round-headed panel framing a large hanging crucifix. To the right of the altar is a large majolica statue of the Madonna. The iconography is taken from the Ascension: she is watching Christ ascend to heaven. There are a pair of side chapels flanking the sanctuary, each accessed through a round-headed doorway. The chapel on the left is the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, and is smaller than the Chapel of Our Lady.It is a well-organised parish. It is very close to the people of the neighbourhood and very inclusive. It is the real landmark of the neighbourhood.
