The church was designed by the architect Giuliano Panieri and built between 2007 and 2010The parish complex is here understood as a unique, articulated and functionally diversified complex that is not limited to the church building alone but welcomes and configures as indispensable other equally important organisms in the global conception of the parish. From these guidelines comes the triangular grid used which - even if at first glance it may seem rigid and limited - has proven to be dynamic and flexible and has allowed the integration of spaces with very different functions. In designing the liturgical hall, a concept of space was sought that would adapt to the various moments of the liturgical celebration. The central plan, rather than the longitudinal basilica layout, reflects the purity of the equilateral triangle in which the essential, characteristic and clearly identifiable elements in a traditional layout - the nave, the transept, the presbytery, the chapels, the choir - find their place reworked in harmony with the triangular grid on which the building is articulated. In this context, the altar is intended as the focal point of the liturgical celebration: it is illuminated with direct natural light of the zenithal type guaranteed by a hexagonal skylight, placed on the roof. On the right side there is access to the weekday chapel which also has an independent entrance. On the outside, the bell tower has been placed on the vertex of the equilateral triangle that outlines the planimetric element of the church. With regard to the materials, it is worth noting the use of exposed bricks, travertine and porphyry, which give the complex a compact and essential appearance. Inside, the external stone treatment has been repeated - where possible. The roof will be made with prefabricated reinforced concrete elements suitable for covering spans of considerable length, thus leaving the hall free from pillars and promoting a unitary and continuous vision of the environment.
