A parish community founded in 1969 in Rome, around the church dedicated to Saints Perpetua and Felicita, built two years earlier in connection with the General House of the Mater Dolorosa Institute of the Mantellate Sisters. For 50 years, the parish has been the soul of the Colle di Mezzo neighbourhood (Laurentina) and the surrounding area, where it has welcomed and accompanied thousands of young and not-so-young people in their discovery and encounter with Christ.
The priests who lead the community belong to the diocesan clergy of Rome and seek to put into practice what Pope Francis asked on 14 May 2018, when he met with the diocese:
'It will be necessary for our communities to become capable of generating a people... that is, capable of offering and generating relationships in which our people can feel known, recognised, welcomed, well-liked, in short: a non-anonymous part of a whole. A people in which we experience a quality of relationships that is already the beginning of a Promised Land, of a work that the Lord is doing for us and with us... provided that we become subjects of what elsewhere I have already called the revolution of tenderness.
