Chiesa di Santa Teresa di Calcutta

The parish, canonically erected on 5 September 2005, is among the most recently built parishes in the Diocese of Rome. Work on the church building was completed in 2016, after the foundation stone had been laid on 30 November 2014. The consecration of the altar and the first mass celebrated in the new liturgical building took place on 10 December 2016 by the then Cardinal Vicar Agostino Vallini. Initially it was located in a prefabricated building adjacent to the current building and dedicated to Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, after her canonisation in 2016 the title of the parish was also updated.
The territory of the parish is derived from that of the adjacent parish of Santa Maria Josefa del Cuore di Gesù, and is delimited within the following boundaries: Fosso di Pratolungo from Via Prenestina until it reaches Via Collatina - Via Collatina going beyond Via Ponte di Nona and the Rome L'Aquila motorway until it crosses Fosso dei Ponzoni - Fosso dei Ponzoni which runs in a southerly direction and its ideal continuation until it rejoins Via Prenestina - a short stretch of Via Prenestina until it crosses the aforementioned Fosso di Pratolungo.
