As part of the Symphonic Music Season of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, the Accademia presents a world premiere, Il tutto in tutti (All in all) by the contemporary composer Fabio Vacchi, a new commission from the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, which opens the final concert of the season by maestro Daniel Harding, followed by a triptych by Richard Strauss: the symphonic poem Death and Transfiguration and, from the opera Salomè, the Dance of the Seven Veils and the Final Scene “Ah, du wolltest mich nicht deinem Mund küssen” (“Ah! You would not let me kiss your mouth, Jochanaan! Well, now I will kiss it!”), where the protagonist is soprano Corinne Winters.

Il tutto in tutti is a composition for string quartet by Fabio Vacchi, inspired by Bach's Art of Fugue and characterized by a refined polyphony of timbres, which explores the expressive possibilities of the instruments.

Death and Transfiguration (Tod und Verklärung in German), Op. 24, is a short poem for large orchestra by Richard Strauss. Strauss began composing it in 1888 and completed it in 1889.
The poem depicts the death of an artist; as he lies dying, thoughts of his life resurface in his memory: the innocence of his childhood, his youthful loves, the struggles of his later years, the relentless struggle toward an unattainable goal throughout his life, and, ultimately, his liberation from the body in "death and transfiguration.”

Salomè is a one-act opera and ballet by Richard Strauss, with a libretto by the composer himself, based on Hedwig Lachmann's German translation of Oscar Wilde's 1891 French play of the same name. The story centers on Salomè, the daughter of Herodias, who, having fallen in love with Jochanaan (John the Baptist), is rejected by him. Deeply resentful of this rejection, the girl dances for the tyrant Herod, who is gripped by an uncontrollable passion for her, but in exchange, she demands the Baptist's beheading. In the opera, which received a less than warm reception at its debut, causing great scandal among the public due to the sadism of the subject and the pungent eroticism that emanated from the music, Strauss exaggerates the instrumental plot to the point of considering the orchestra the true protagonist of the work.
