Il Cinema in Piazza, an open-air cinema festival - organized and promoted by the Piccolo America Foundation - returns, like every year, in the three squares of San Cosimato in Trastevere, Parco della Cervelletta in Tor Sapienza and Parco di Monte Ciocci in Valle Aurelia, as well as to the fourth location of the event, CinemaTroisi.
The event, now in its 11th edition, confirms the free nature of the event: every evening, from Wednesday to Sunday at 9:15 pm, Il Cinema in Piazza offers films in the original language with subtitles and Italian classics with English subtitles, to allow international audiences to participate in the cultural offering. The program of this edition - which includes 94 screenings with free admission, including 35 special meetings, 7 of which at the Cinema Troisi and special guests - is characterized by a particular attention to subcultures and their cinematic representations, such as in the films The Warriors by Walter Hill, which has the world of urban warriors as its theme, and Hooligans, in which Lexi Alexander talks about violence on the fringes of stadiums.
