The concert at the Auditorium sees as protagonists the pianist Brad Mehldau together with Larry Grenadier on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums who lead us through the essence of jazz music with its experiments and innovations, but also of the classical piano and the suggestions of pop rhythms.
A characteristic of Brad Mehldau, musician of classical training who then converted to jazz, is that of merging musical genres or reworking songs by artists such as The Beatles, Cole Porter, Radiohead, Paul Simon, Gershwin and Nick Drake, alongside the originality of his new wide-ranging compositions.
Mehldau, considered by critics as one of the most intimate voices of jazz piano, continues to obtain not only numerous awards, but also the admiration of both purists and music lovers, always collecting new hits; for example, his collaborations with great musicians such as Pat Metheny, Renee Fleming and Joshua Redman are known.
