
A double Christmas concert is scheduled for December 25th (at 5:30 pm and 9:00 pm) by the Harlem Gospel Choir in the Sala Sinopoli of the Auditorium Parco della Musica, during the Roma Gospel Festival, now in its twenty-fourth edition.
The American group's joyful and lively style stands out among the others, while its repertoire includes gospel classics such as Oh Happy Day and Amazing Grace, as well as contemporary songs that blend elements of jazz and soul, continuing to inspire listeners of all generations with its engaging music and its universal message of love and hope.
The Harlem Gospel Choir is a renowned musical group founded in 1986 in New York City, known for its powerful interpretation of gospel music. The choir was founded by Allan Bailey, who, with 35 years of experience in the music industry, is recognized for his work with the Commodores, Michael Jackson, and Prince. The Harlem Gospel Choir is not only a musical ensemble, but also an ambassador for African-American culture. Through music, the choir promotes understanding and appreciation of African-American traditions, addressing themes of social justice and spirituality. Their performances are characterized by high energy and emotional engagement that captivate the audience, making each show memorable. Over the years, the choir has collaborated with internationally renowned artists such as Andre Rieu, Diana Ross, Bono, The Chieftains, Simple Minds, Live, Sinead O’Connor,Gorillaz, and has performed at numerous music festivals, cementing its reputation in the global music scene.
