Millo - The Lovers

Two figures locked in an embrace, lying on the banks of the Tiber, immersed in a dreamlike atmosphere, suspended in time: a visual ode to love, lightness and freedom amid the beauty of the Eternal City.

Inspired by the word “Amor”(love), the palindrome of Rome which was long believed to be the secret name of the city, a giant installation can be admired on the left bank of the river, between bridges Ponte Umberto I and Ponte Sant’Angelo. It is the first inflatable by internationally renowned street artist Francesco Camillo Giorgino, aka Millo, best known for his large-scale murals.

The two lovers are depicted in Millo’s usual graphic style and are 18 meters long and 7 meters high, which ensures that they do not go unnoticed. The installation was created in collaboration with the local Terrazza Tevere and with the technical support of FLY IN, which transformed an ambitious idea into a tangible presence, inflated with emotion and symbolism.
