A night of running, passion, and challenge in a large park with an ancient and important history, still evident today in the imposing Mausoleum of Saint Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, the catacombs of Saints Marcellinus and Peter, and the remains of an early Christian basilica.
From 11 p.m. on Saturday 12 July until the early hours of Sunday 13 July, the park of Villa De Sanctis in the Prenestino-Labicano district will host the sixth edition of the ultramarathon (a foot race covering a distance greater than the 42.195 kilometres of a marathon). The event is organized by ASD Villa De Sanctis in collaboration with the White Shoes Runners Club: a night-time journey of endurance, enthusiasm and the desire to exceed one’s limits.
The six-hour individual race is included in the national ultramarathon calendars of FIDAL (Italian Athletics Federation) and IUTA (Italian Ultramarathon and Trail Association) and counts towards the 23rd IUTA Grand Prix 2025 and the 12th Criterium Regionale Zona Centro. In accordance with the regulations issued by FIDAL, athletes aged 20 and over who are members of clubs affiliated with FIDAL and in possession of a Runcard or a membership card from clubs affiliated with foreign athletics federations recognised by World Athletics are eligible to participate.
