Rome is ready to welcome the New Year with a big party at the Circus Maximus promoted by Roma Capitale and organised in collaboration with Dimensione Suono Soft and Dimensione Suono Roma. Media partner The Hollywood Reporter Roma.
The event, with completely free admission, will kick off at 9 p.m. on 31 December and will continue after the midnight toast: deejay and producer Gabry Ponte, PFM Premiata Forneria Marconi, Orchestraccia, with actor and singer Andrea Rivera as a special guest, and Orchestra Popolare La Notte della Taranta, along with Culture Club, the historic British band led by Boy George that returns to perform in Italy after 15 years, will take turns on stage.
The British band will perform songs from its first two albums, authentic milestones of 1980s pop music. Gabry Ponte will bring an explosion of energy and rhythm with his hits that marked the history of dance music. PFM Premiata Forneria Marconi will perform songs from their historic concerts with Fabrizio De André and some of his greatest hits on stage. Instead, the Orchestraccia and Andrea Rivera show will be inspired by Roman folklore, revisited in a modern key, while the Orchestra Popolare della Notte della Taranta will make the entire Circus Maximus dance with its energy and passion and its unmistakable sound between tradition and innovation.
Also accompanying the spectators will be the voices of Mariachiara Belardo from Dimensione Suono Soft and Don Cash from Dimensione Suono Roma, and DJ Mauro Zavadava Mandolesi. To raise awareness among young people on the issue of road safety and the value of life, as part of the project ‘Il posto giusto. Una canzone per Francesco', the Cosmonauti Borghesi and Origami Smiles, the band of which Francesco Valdiserri, who was run over and killed in October 2022, was a member, will take the stage.

Five pedestrian accesses are available to the public: viale Aventino corner via dei Cerchi, viale Aventino corner via del Circo Massimo, via delle Terme Deciane, via della Greca and via dei Cerchi corner via San Teodoro. People with disabilities (by prior booking at the e-mail address forumaccoglienza@gmail.com) will be able to attend the concert from the reserved platform, located inside the Circus Maximus, on the side of Via dei Cerchi at the junction with Via dell'Ara Massima di Ercole. The dedicated parking area will be in Piazza San Giovanni Decollato (at the end of Via dei Cerchi, right side). The organisation will provide an escort and assistance service, plus two golf cars, for the journey (round trip) from the car parks to the reserved area.
