The 14th edition of Musei in Musica 2024 (Museums in Music 2024) turned out to be an extraordinary success: the event, in fact, has seen the presence of over 32,000 visitors - including Roman citizens and tourists - who, despite the rain, participated in the event, crowding the over 40 locations in the city spread from the centre to the outskirts, including museums, exhibition spaces, universities and institutional offices, exceptionally open at night.

In particular, there was a great turnout in Piazza del Campidoglio, with over 10,000 spectators who reached the Capitoline Hill to visit the rich heritage and the splendid works of art of the oldest public museum in the world and also to attend the concert of the Orchestra Popolare La Notte della Taranta, dancing to the rhythm of the pizzica salentina. This last one was a very engaging event, which opened with the Taranta di Lizzano and then continued with the pieces most loved by the public: Pizzicarella, Pizzica di San Vito and Lu Rusciu de lu mare; the finale, as per tradition, was with Calinitta.

In general, in the Civic Museums of Rome Capital, there were more than 2000 visitors to the Trajan's Markets, the Museum of Rome and the Ara Pacis Museum. Here, the young singer-songwriter Ariete opened the evening, a special guest of this edition with an acoustic piano and voice set; surrounded by the presence of many very young girls and boys, Ariete performed some of her most famous songs from Un'altra ora (Another hour) to Solo te (Only you), from Spifferi (Gusts) to Un mare di guai (A lot of trouble).

There were more than 1000 people in Villa Torlonia and in its fascinating museums. It was a continuous flow of citizens and tourists, starting from the early hours of the evening, when they found the Carabinieri Musical Complex welcoming them, until the later hours when the musical program continued with shows in the Serra Moresca and in the Casino Nobile.

To complete the success of the evening, we cannot fail to mention the over 5,000 visits to Sapienza University of Rome, open with the many spaces of its Museum Centre and the over 1,000 visitors registered by the Mattatoio in Testaccio.
