The Teatro Brancaccio hosts the Balletto di Milano, the Italian company founded in 1980 and one of the most prestigious ensembles on the international scene, which brings to the stage two iconic ballets in an evocative show realised in co-production with the Versiliana Festival.
The first act features Aria Tango, Micha van Hoecke's exciting 2013 ballet - a tribute to the famous Belgian choreographer on the occasion of his 80th birthday. In a dreamlike, timeless atmosphere, the performance is a ‘choreographic poem’ that, by letting dance alone express itself, explores emotions, passions, fears and feelings to the magnificent notes of Oscar-winning Luis Bacalov.
In the second act, the company performs an exclusive version of Maurice Ravel's beautiful Boléro, with the dynamic choreography by Adriana Mortelliti, which, besides the game of seduction, depicts the infinite narration of a birth, the call of a kindred soul and multiplying encounters, through sinuous figures that, dancing in a harmonious crescendo with the music, give life to an extraordinary finale.
