Colourful stands and wooden huts, twinkling lights, handcrafted products, games and gourmet delights: much loved by Romans and tourists alike, the Christmas markets are the perfect destination to immerse in the magical atmosphere of the festive season, buy new decorations for the tree, look for original gifts, nibble on a crunchy treat, take a stroll with the family - starting, of course, with the historic Befana Market in Piazza Navona, a veritable institution that has been renewed for over 200 years. Dedicated to children, but not only, are the Christmas Villages, a plunge into the Christmas atmosphere of fairy tales among animations, themed attractions, shows, parades and wonderful surprises.
Anima Verde Market - Christmas Days, 7 to 15 December 2024. The market is dedicated to handicrafts and handmade items, perfect for finding unique and original gifts, from handmade Christmas decorations to fashion accessories and natural body care products. The market is dedicated to everyone, young people and families, and has no architectural barriers, but space for social activities and many activities for children.
Ficus al massimo Christmas Edition, 7 to 22 December 2024. One hundred and sixty selected exhibitors will take turns on the weekends of 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22 December inside Garum Museo della Cucina, in front of Circus Maximus, for your shopping in an elegant atmosphere surrounded by an aura of magic and millenary charm.
Giftland, la città del regalo (‘the city of gifts’), 7 to 22 December 2024. For three weekends, the Vintage Market transforms into the perfect gift city with food, music and activities for all ages. A 6000 square metre market with more than 200 exhibitors from all over Italy of vintage clothing and accessories, handmade creations, Christmas decorations but also vinyls, books, upcycling, home decor, games and books for children, ceramics, candles, organic cosmetics, plants and flower arrangements. The heated food area offers burgers, street food, vegan ideas, sweets and ice cream, coffee, cocktails, beer and Christmas specialities such as mulled wine and hot chocolate. Santa Claus himself welcomes the little ones to collect their wishes and accompanies them to the kids' area to take part in themed workshops.
Green Market on Christmas, 7 to 22 December 2024. The eco-friendly Christmas village in Testaccio, with its arts and crafts market, workshops, shows, bar with cocktails and craft beer, plant-based food area and chocolate shop awaits you with a rich programme of activities for all ages. The space of the Città dell'Altra Economia has no architectural barriers and is therefore perfectly usable also by disabled persons and has a large free parking area.

FRA' - Fiera del Regalo Accessibile (Accessible Gift Fair), 14 to 22 December 2024. Now in its eighth edition, Frà by Fusolab 2.0 proposes a different way of experiencing the approach of Christmas and has created the first Christmas event that intends to overturn the unbridled consumerism of this time of year under the banner of accessibility, setting the cost of each individual product at a maximum of 50 euros and keeping intact the excellent quality and uniqueness that each individual handcrafted piece possesses thanks to the work, passion and commitment that its creator attributes to it.

These are just some of EMERGENCY's Christmas gifts, which can be bought online or in person at the EMERGENCY Infopoint in via IV Novembre 157/B. The funds raised from the sale of the products are destined to support EMERGENCY's projects.
Il Villaggio di Natale di Piazza Mazzini, until 29 December 2024. The Christmas market is back again this year at the Gardens of Piazza Mazzini with its decorated little houses arranged around the monumental fountain in the elegant Della Vittoria district. The market is characterised by charming little wooden houses and extraordinary Christmas-themed decorations. On offer are handicrafts, such as nativity scenes, Christmas decorations and sweet treats, as well as many ideas for gifts to put under the tree. The festivities in the historic square are accompanied by the evolutions and performances of street artists and live background music.

Every detail is taken care of by the best Italian set designers, to completely immerse in the festive atmosphere. An open-air event that tells of Christmas in the World with huge installations, themed experiences, photo opportunities, shows & happenings in a film in which to be the protagonist. Il Natale delle meraviglie at Cinecittà World (Christmas Wonderland), until 6 January 2025. This year Christmas at Cinecittà World lights up with a new world: Oriental World, a journey into the mysterious Orient with majestic Chinese illuminations. The Christmas Village is back, with Santa's house, a Christmas market and 10 themed attractions. You can be amazed by Christmas on Ice, the spectacular ice-skating show in the new Palastudio, and enjoy Italy's biggest New Year's Eve party.
Eur Christmas Rome, until 6 January 2025. The Christmas Village in the iconic EUR district awaits you with an ice skating rink, with a majestic 10-metre-high Christmas tree in the middle, Santa's little house, where you can meet Santa Claus in person and snap the moment with a souvenir photo, the horse carousel, and the Christmas market: 40 wooden houses with typical Christmas handicrafts, a space dedicated to street food and local food excellence. The area is decorated with festive lights, thematic projections and on the stage, set up for the occasion, artistic and musical performances alternate.
