The famous musician returns to the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone as part of the Roma Summer Fest 2024 with Semo o nun semo, an extraordinary evening dedicated to traditional Roman songs.
Created for the celebrations of the centenary of the Villa Borghese, the show, which takes its name from the song of the same name by the Roman singer-songwriter Romolo Balzani, is an evocative and exciting journey through the Rome of the past - the city of the 1900s of great artists such as Ettore Petrolini, Aldo Fabrizi, and Balzani himself - among stornelli, saltarelli, serenate, and quotes by Maestro Trovajoli.
As both narrator and pianist, the author of some of the most beautiful and famous soundtracks of the last decades brings to the stage, as in an old songbook, a narration that, for every Roman, has a special meaning, just like for the artist who set to music some songs that his aunt Pina - actress and singer in Romolo Balzani's group - used to sing to him when he was a child.
On the stage of the Cavea, accompanying Nicola Piovani are the Ensemble Aracoeli, the voices of Sara Fois, Donatella Pandimiglio, Pino Ingrosso, Carlotta Proietti and actor Massimo Wertmüller, based on texts by Pietro Piovani.
