Goran Bregovic and The Wedding & Funeral Band

Goran Bregović, the most famous Balkan musician and composer in the world, returns to the Ostia Antica Theater together with his formation, the Wedding & Funeral Band - wind instruments, percussion and Bulgarian voices - to present "turbo folk", a show in which he proposes, in addition to his historic successes, also songs taken from his most recent albums, with some previews of his next project.

The Wedding and Funeral Band is famous for its ability to harmoniously blend different musical traditions: Bulgarian vocals, Slavic folklore, Orthodox sacred polyphony and the rhythms of modern rock. The band's instrumentalists, who grew up in the gypsy tradition, bring to the stage a mix of styles and genres that makes the show enthralling and full of pure energy.

Bregović's music, which derives from Gypsy and South Slavic themes, is the result of the fusion among traditional Balkan folk polyphonic music with tango and brass bands.
