The Civic Museums of Rome start 2024 with a completely renewed visual identity.
The brand new graphic design, created to enhance and give new impetus to the image of the Roman museum network, comes with a fresh new logo and a dedicated communication campaign, whose slogan reads “La varietà ci rende unici” (Variety makes us unique), to emphasise the multiplicity and richness of the museums and their collections, united in a single recognisable system consecrated to the care and promotion of a unique cultural heritage, open and accessible to all.
The logo, which is already visible on all the communication materials of the Musei in Comune, is made up of M's of different colours, which, intertwined, create a structure that visually synthesises the four types of museums. The four shades that emerge individually in the logo of each museum identify its type: archaeological (pink), modern art (purple), contemporary art (green) and science (orange).
The letters move, colour and fit together, generating a pattern that succeeds in grouping the different experiences, an icon that looks like a place in motion, a setting to be walked through, a container of multiple cultural offerings.
The fluorescent yellow, dedicated to the Roma MIC Card - the card that allows free access for one year to all archaeological sites and museums of the system for only 5 euro - highlights the energetic, lively and inclusive nature of the entire system.
