Saltarello Popular Orchestra

Before the evening concert at the Teatro Studio Borgna, the Saltarello Popular Orchestra offers the audience at the Auditorium Parco della Musica a performance in the auditorium, performing some popular Abruzzo songs, from the most representative traditional songs to the Saltarelle, Spallate and Ballarelle. A lineup of ten extraordinary musicians and an engaging dance troupe will lead the audience on a fascinating journey through the repertoire of Abruzzo's traditional music.

The Saltarello Popular Orchestra project was born from a research and re-evaluation of the Abruzzo musical tradition. The aim was to reconstruct the famous "Saltarello" in music, giving it a modern and innovative feel without forgetting its historical roots. The project's creator is musician Danilo Di Paolonicola, who has reworked and transcribed the music.

The event is part of Natale Auditorium and is free with no reservation required, subject to availability.
