From his beginnings in the 1970s with Concrete Vulture, which later became The Birthday Party, up to the birth of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, the multifaceted artist has conquered audiences and critics with his distinctive baritone voice, sounds that combine blues, gospel, gothic rock and symphonic nuances, and lyrics characterised by spirituality, apocalyptic visions and lost love. The album Wild God, released by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds in 2024, is an astonishing work of extraordinary creative power, interweaving musical exploration and storytelling.
An Officer of the Order of Australia since 2017, the elegant and magnetic singer-songwriter boasts a long and successful career marked by numerous awards, including the Ivor Novello, the Mojo Award and the Tenco Prize.
