On Monday 21 April 2025, the 2778th anniversary of the foundation of the city will be celebrated with La Festa di Roma 2025, an event promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Culture, coordinated by the Department of Cultural Activities, in collaboration with the Capitoline Superintendency of Cultural Heritage and with the organizational support of Zètema Progetto Cultura.
The event, a great collective celebratory rite, invites to reach one of the symbolic places of the City, the Capitoline Hill, which becomes from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm, a large open-air stage with a wide free program of cultural and entertainment activities of all kinds: from concerts to dance performances, from poetry and theater happenings to lessons on the history of Rome, from street art to recreational activities for children. We also remember the extraordinary opening of the Civic Museums of Rome Capital - with ordinary ticketing - and the exceptional addition of free admission to the Capitoline Museums reserved for residents of Rome and the metropolitan city. A very wide and varied offer therefore, which combines the homage to the thousand-year-old history of the City with moments of leisure offered by the many artistic and intellectual realities of our territory.
Il Muro del Canto (The Wall of Singing), the Roman folk-rock band, will be the special guest of the event, closing the day of celebration with a concert at 8:45 pm in Piazza del Campidoglio: an immersion in Roman folk music, reinterpreted in a contemporary key, in a clever blend of tradition and modernity, with the scratchy voice of Daniele Coccia Paifelman accompanied by the overwhelming rhythms of the group and the presence of special guests. The band will perform some of the most beloved songs such as L’amore mio non more, Figli come noi or Ciao core.
