For the upcoming Easter holidays, the presence of over two million tourists is expected in Rome; in fact, according to the Lazio Bilateral Tourism Board, it is estimated that the total arrivals for the period between Easter 2025 and the May Day long weekend are, to date, exactly more than 2.4 million. Rome is therefore confirmed among the most visited international destinations. The announcement, also with a video on Instagram, is by Alessandro Onorato, Councilor for Sport, Tourism and Major Events of Rome Capital.
Despite the fact that 2024 marked a historic record for Rome, with 51.4 million tourists, the numbers continue to increase thanks to the attraction represented by the major musical, sporting and cultural events. The resulting economic repercussions increasingly highlight how it is a resource, which creates employment; the Municipality of Rome is therefore working to make it increasingly sustainable and compatible with the city and its residents.
