Thai Fight Roma

One of the world's most prestigious events dedicated to two spectacular combat sports, organised by Team Colonnese Promotion, is back in Rome for its third edition.

Hosted at the PalaTiziano - Palazzetto dello Sport, Thai Fight Roma is a not-to-be-missed event featuring Muay Thay for athletes and enthusiasts from all over Italy. Also known as Thai boxing, Muay Thai is a martial art rich in culture, history and fascinating traditions with very ancient origins: it was born on battlefields, and its consecration as a sport dates back to the 18th century. Even today, it is still the national sport of Thailand, loved and practised worldwide.

On the schedule are also exciting Kickboxing matches; the discipline traces its origins back to Japan and established itself as a combat sport in the United States under the initial name of Full Contact Karate at the beginning of the 1970s.

Thai Fight is a real show not only from a sporting point of view: the most famous international fighters are ready to challenge each other in the ring of the splendid venue - designed by architect Annibale Vitellozzi and engineer Pier Luigi Nervi - to conquer the three titles: world and European champion in Muay Thay and world champion in Kickboxing. 

The event, which boasts the presence of Italian and international authorities, is supported by the patronage of the Municipality of Rome, the Royal Thai Embassy, the Thai Tourist Authority and Federkombat, the only federation recognised by CONI.
