The most prestigious Italian film event dedicated to French cinema returns to Rome in an extraordinary 15th edition under the artistic direction of Vanessa Tonnini.
Conceived to make audiences discover the plurality of voices in transalpine cinematography, Rendez-Vous, as a tradition, is hosted at the Cinema Nuovo Sacher in Rione Trastevere, a few steps from Porta Portese and, after the Rome leg, moves on to Bologna, Florence, Naples and Palermo.
Opening the festival on 2 April is Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, the protagonist of L'Attachement by Carine Tardieu. On the programme are Le Roman de Jim by brothers Jean-Marie and Arnaud Larrieu, Diamant Brut (Wild Diamond), Agathe Riedinger's debut film, Sotto le foglie - Quand vient l'automne by François Ozon, It's Not Me (C'est pas moi) by Leos Carax, Emmanuel Mouret's Trois amies, Le Royaume by Julien Colonna, Le mohican by Frédéric Farrucci, Hiver à Sokcho by Koya Kamura and the Italian premieres of Jane Austen a gâché ma vie by Laura Piani, Le répondeur by Fabienne Godet, Ma Mère, Dieu et Sylvie Vartan by Ken Scott, Une part manquante by Guillame Senez, and, among the special events, the screening of the first two episodes of Dans l'ombre, the series by Pierre Schoeller.

Back for the second year is the Prix Palatine, the initiative, a bridge between Italian and French schools, with which the young Esabac students are the jury members of the feature films screened.
All films are in the original version with Italian subtitles.
Promoted by the French Embassy in Italy and realised by the Institut français, co-organised with Unifrance, the festival benefits from the support of Borsalino, BNL BNP Paribas, Château Livran, the Hotel Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese, and SACEM.
