The Florida Inspirational Singers come to the Auditorium Parco della Musica to bring a uniquely gospel repertoire, where the great soul sound of the Southern American tradition blends with spirituals and the most modern sounds of this musical genre.
The group is composed by musicians from the cities of Orlando and Tampa and led by two leaders: Nathan Mitchell, an accomplished American jazz musician - composer, producer, keyboardist, and multi-instrumentalist - who has become one of the industry's most respected "musical storytellers," known above all for his unique talent, energy, and the enthusiasm he inspires with audiences. Throughout his career, he has received three NAACP nominations for "Outstanding Jazz Album," a GRAMMY nomination as producer and composer, and two #1 hits on BILLBOARD.
The other leader, John Polk, is a pastor and gospel musician with extensive experience both nationally and internationally. In 2006, he formed the group "Voices of Life," which later took its final name of JP & 1Voice in 2012. During those years, he was noticed by two true gospel legends, Donnie McClurkin and Yolanda Adams, who invited him as a backup singer on their national tours. From that experience, he began collaborating with other high-profile names, such as Dorinda Clark Cole, Todd Dulaney, Jovonta Patton, and LaRue Howard. John Polk is also a great musician, capable of engaging audiences in an atmosphere of celebration and joy.
