Making sport accessible to all by promoting Paralympic sport is the mission of the Bebe Vio Academy, the inclusive sports academy conceived by foil champion Beatrice “Bebe” Vio Grandis and organized and managed by the art4sport ONLUS Association.
After a three-year experience in Milan, the Academy also arrives in Rome thanks to the patronage of the City of Rome and the partnership with the Sapienza University of Rome, an important milestone to make sport a right for all and stimulate a change in mentality. From November to May, children with and without physical disabilities who join the project will have the opportunity to experience five different Paralympic sports (wheelchair fencing, sitting volleyball, wheelchair basketball, athletics, integrated football) in the facilities of the SapienzaSport Sports Center in Tor di Quinto.
The Academy is open to all children and young people from 6 to 18 years of age: the necessary sports aids are provided free of charge by the art4sport Association. For more information, visit the Academy website.
