The famous Tomb of the Veienti is located along the road that led from the Cassia to Veio, at the height of Nero's Tomb. Today, the monument appears isolated at the edge of the Parco di Grottarossa, also known as Papacci, which runs along today's Via Veientana. The building, made of cement conglomerate with flint flakes and travertine blocks, is of the aedicula type with a rectangular plan and several storeys in height. The cruciform cell is made of tuff and covered by a barrel vault; the walls are lined with niches for the depositions. The outer face has been completely removed.
Datable to the early imperial age.
