Romics 2024 (XXXII edition)

The great international festival dedicated to comics, animation, cinema and games lovers, hosted by Fiera Roma, is back.

Born in the autumn of 2001, Romics reaches its XXXII edition with an extraordinary programme: four days ready to carry you into the fantasy universe with special events, shows, exhibitions, previews, and meetings with prestigious guests and industry professionals.

Among the most awaited appointments is the Romics Cosplay Award, the spectacular costume challenge between cosplayers from all over Italy, which selects the best single cosplay, the best cosplay group, the best male costume, the best female costume, and the best performance, and with the Cosplay Kids, with which the kids can dress up as their favourite characters.

Great space for Italian and international artists who promote and sell self-produced works in the Artist Alley. The Self Area Comics sees the participation of all realities related to the world of comics; the Self Area Play welcomes artists self-producing card games, board games and role-playing games.

Tv and big screen are the protagonists with the Dubbing Grand Gala, dedicated to the best voices of national and international movies, animated films, TV series and cartoons.

Fun and lots of music with the seventh edition of the K-pop Contest Italia Special Romics, one of the most eagerly awaited events for dancing with the choreography of the most popular Korean artists. Not to be missed are the events celebrating the anniversaries of two iconic television phenomena: the 50th anniversary of the American series Happy Days and Happy Birthday Heidi!, for the Japanese anime that has captivated Italy.

Spotlights on the most famous Italian and international artists with the usual Romics del Fumetto Prize, which has an important new feature: the Young Readers Award - Graphic Novel Audience Award, Biblioteche di Roma, born from the collaboration between Biblioteche di Roma Capitale and Romics.

Special Guest of the event is Daniele Serra, the award-winning Italian illustrator whose works are inspired by Japanese horror, the fiction of writers such as H. P. Lovecraft and William H. Hodgson and the films of directors such as Ridley Scott. Among the guests are also Franco Fasano, the composer of 'music for kids', who tells his story on the piano, and Sio, Dado and Fraffrog with the Giga Evento!, including funny videos, comics and lots of laughs.

The Golden Romics goes to to singer and musician Riccardo Zara, composer of unforgettable songs such as Lady Oscar and L'uomo tigre and founder of the band I Cavalieri del Re, and to Vanna Vinci, author of successes such as the Philosophy Kid, Frida Kahlo and Maria Callas, protagonist of a special meeting retracing her artistic career.
