Inti-Illimani & Giulio Wilson

The Inti-Illimani need no introduction. The Chilean vocal and instrumental group was born in 1967 within the Nueva Canción Chilena movement, whose members, forced into exile following the 1973 coup, only returned to Chile in 1988.

After the success of the Vale la pena Tour, which saw them as protagonists in Italian theaters last year, the historic group with Giulio Wilson, singer-songwriter born in Florence in 1983 who boasts noteworthy collaborations with the likes of Bobby Solo, Francesco Guccini, and Roy Paci, announce the new world tour which, on Sunday 13 May, arrives on the prestigious stage of the Sala Sinopoli at the Ennio Morricone Auditorium Parco della Musica.

Together, they present their first live album AGUA, recorded in December 2022 between Florence and Santiago de Chile: an unprecedented musical proposal in which the sounds of Chilean music meet the sounds and words of the brilliant Florentine singer-songwriter, loved for his refined style and démodé charm.

AGUA, a work in which you can perceive a natural artistic balance, empathy, and human harmony, contains 13 songs in which social issues related to current events but also to history are addressed, such as environmental protection, climate change, and much more. AGUA is a disc of "artisan conception" without plug-ins, computer effects, or electronic sounds: the Chilean musicians use Andean traditional instruments such as the bagpipe, Quechua, charango, Giulio Wilson, guitars, and piano.
