At the end of an engaging season of initiatives for the promotion of fashion and Made in Italy, inaugurated last July by Valentino Haute Couture show in Piazza di Spagna, Rome is once again a protagonist, thanks to the stunning Biagiotti fashion show in the iconic Piazza del Campidoglio.
Biagiotti has a deep relationship with the city and the historic square: on the famous pavement, designed by Michelangelo Buonarroti, the Maison had already paraded in 2004 and 2020.
The famous brand reaffirmed its indissoluble link with the Eternal City in 1994 with a generous act of patronage: it supported the restoration of the Cordonata del Campidoglio, the imposing staircase with wide steps created by Michelangelo's genius.
This year the Maison, with the support of a well-known banking group, and the collaboration of the Capitoline Superintendence, will take care of the restoration of the Fountain of the Dea Roma, a splendid work located close to Palazzo Senatorio, the seat of the Mayor of Rome.
The 16th-century monument by Matteo Bartolani da Castello will return to its former glory. Other interventions will be dedicated to restoring its functionality. They include the arrangement of the cobblestone pavement in front of the fountain and its water and drainage system revision.
Illuminated by plays of light and artistic projections, the beautiful tailoring of "Amor per Roma," inspired by the colours and architecture of the city and the 18th-century views of Carlo Labruzzi of the Biagiotti fashion show in Piazza del Campidoglio marks the stylistic identity that connects the brand to the fashion sector and the Capital. On the other hand, cardigans, micro ribbed pulls, and soft berets underline the relationship between Biagiotti and the world of Golf.
The fashion parade, in fact, has anticipated one of the most awaited sporting events of all 2023, the Ryder Cup, the world's most influential golfing tournament, which will take place in Rome for the first time at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club, created by the Biagiotti family.
